Series : 8 week course for Beginners only  .It's suggested for you to start on week one of the series, but not required.  

Cost is $10 per class  (CASH ONLY) 

 you can start at any point in the series, then catch the classes you missed in the next series.

 * We also would like to let all of our members know that all memberships active at the time of COVID  shut down will be extended to cover those months lost. TSC will review memberships when we have a start date, and make the new cards available on opening to Members .
 

 George Kenneth Wright

 January 16th, 1945 - June 16th, 2021

George Wright, passed from his earthly life June 16th. I met George shortly after joining TSC in 1979 and had no idea the impact he would have on the West Coast Swing Dance community or me.  George formed TSC as a dance club b and for the members.  Lessons were taught by members who were not paid to teach.  He wrote the Bylaws to make sure that no one person could take control of the club and only the members could decide the direction and future of TSC.  He encouraged the club's participation in many regional dance competitions, many in regional dance competitions, many of which TSC won as a club and individually, including Midwest Challenge, Southwest Regionals, Tulsa Invitational, Dallas Dance and many Oklahoma State Contest. George promoted West Coast Swing every opportunity that was available to him.   The club, at one point, had over 200 active members and went out dancing every Thursday night. TSC had many regional and nationally recognized dancers.  Thanks to George, I was encouraged to become and instructor and competitor.  George created the first sound system used for competitions.  I learned about sound systems and sound reinforcement from George and his exceptional technical knowledge. We worked many dance contests together and eventually became business partners in a company doing sound, video production and dance floor for West Coast competitions and many corporations in the Tulsa area.

For many years, TSC used the facilities of Arthur Murray Dance Studios owned by max Thedford.  Max was a great supporter of TSC.  After Max closed his studio, we needed and wanted aa long term location.  Because of his commitment to TSC, he located and managed the build out of our own dance studio known as the TSC Clubhouse.  With over 1500sq feet of dance floor and space for parties of 150 plus people, it was definitely the pinnacle event in his support and the history of TSC.  TSC grew and became so successful with the help of many great members and leader's but the core principals were outlined in the beginning by George.  I could go on forever, but the most important thing is George was my friend, mentor, business partner and an inspiration in my life.  George is and will always be greatly missed. Rest well my friend.
